Het bestuur van Swim Delft is inmiddels weer bij elkaar gekomen. Ja, we zijn er vroeg bij want er is ook een hoop te doen.
Afhankelijk van jouw rol in het team doe je naast de vergaderingen ook wat voorbereidende werkzaamheden, zodat op de dag van het evenement alles op rolletjes loopt.
Hoeveel tijd kost het je? We vergaderen regelmatig op maandagavond. Gedurende dit jaar is dat ongeveer één keer per maand. Vanaf januari 2026 gaan we wat vaker vergaderen, zo eens in de drie weken.

Swim & Spin to Fight Cancer - Delft 2024
In 2024 zwommen of spinden 251 deelnemers samen naar een weredl waarin kanker geen dodelijke ziekte meer is.
In 2026 wordt deze tocht en strijd vervolgt. Doe jij dan ook mee?

On September 3rd 2022, there was one big party during Swim to fight Cancer Delft at the Hooikade, Gashouderpad for the Swimming event and at Laga for the Spinning event. The weather was fantastic and the enthusiastic swimmers and spinners, energetic volunteers, supporters enjoyed the event. Together we made it a great success and raised a fantastic amount of € 171,258.36.
On behalf of the entire board of Swim to fight Cancer Delft, we would like to thank everyone very much for their contribution. We would also like to thank all the organizations and companies that helped us in the run-up to or on the day itself, financially or in kind. To all swimmers and spinners: we are so proud of your efforts and the great amount you have raised together!

Met de opbrengsten van Swim to Fight Cancer Delft wordt onderzoek gefinancierd. Onderzoek is hard nodig. Nog steeds krijgen zo'n 14 mensen per uur de diagnose kanker, dat zijn meer dan 300 mensen per dag. We weten dat onderzoek werkt; de kans dat iemand vijf jaar na diagnose nog leeft is in de afgelopen vijftig jaar met maarliefst 90% gestegen. We zijn er alleen nog niet. The donations raised by Swim to Fight Cancer Delft will go to funding research. Research into cancer is much needed. Each day, an average of 14 people per hour get the diagnosis of cancer, which makes a total of more than 300 people per day! It has been proven that research helps: chances of survival five years after a diagnosis has increased by 90% in the last fifty years. But we are not there yet. That's why we need your help!
