Swim to Fight Cancer

It's almost impossible to know somebody who's life wasn't affected by this disease. More than 50% of people in The Netherlands get diagnosed with some form of Cancer during their life. Thanks to research we have made massive steps in improving the survivability of the disease, but it is an ongoing battle to improve treatment and increase the quality of life of those who live with it.

When the Delftse Watervrienden asked me if I wanted to join them in the Swim to fight Cancer, I immediately said yes! Not only is this an good way to generate attention and hopefully some money, for this cause, but it is also an important signal because staying active actually helps prevent the disease itself.
