I run to Fight cancer
Hello everyone,
This past year has been incredibly challenging.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer, but thanks to early detection and effective medical treatment, I underwent surgery and radiotherapy and have fully recovered.
In the same year, my husband, Alberto, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. He endured intensive chemotherapy, and in February, he received a bone marrow transplant. Now, he is in the recovery process, rebuilding his immune system.
Today, we stand as two grateful survivors, eager to embrace life after receiving exceptional medical care—made possible by vital cancer research.
Cancer impacts so many lives, and it is crucial that we stand together in this fight.
I will be running in the Love Life Run to raise funds for cancer research and to show that, thanks to modern medicine and healthcare, cancer can be overcome! Alberto will see if he’s feeling strong enough to join, too.
