Swimming 2KM for Auntie Marianne 💙
On June 28th, I’ll be swimming 2 kilometers in the IJzeren Man in Eindhoven for Fight Cancer – not just because I love swimming, but to support cancer research.
This cause became more personal when my great-aunt Marianne was diagnosed with cancer in February 2024 and sadly passed away on April 30th, 2025. She was strong, caring, active, and full of life – a true inspiration. But cancer can affect anyone, and it took her from us far too soon.
I’m swimming in her honor, and for everyone facing this disease. In the Netherlands, 1 in 2 people will get a cancer diagnosis. That needs to change.
