A little over a year ago, I lost my mother to cancer.
I'm joining this event not only to swim, but also to honor her memory, raise awareness about cancer, and support life-saving cancer research.
I'm turning my pain into purpose. With every stroke, I carry her with me, honoring her strength and reminding myself and others that even in the face of loss, hope never fades.
