I am swimming 2kms to Fight Cancer
I lost my mother to Breast Cancer 7 years ago . Her name was Willemina Buijs and she was a fighter to the very end. This swim is very personal to me for this reason. The money I raise goes towards cancer research because 1 in 2 people in the Netherlands are still diagnosed with cancer.
It's important we keep supporting research so maybe one day our loved ones can be with us for a bit longer - so many moments I lost and if we can pay it forward to give someone else the opportunity at life - then the goal has been achieved !
