Sometimes life changes in a way you never expect

Not long ago, I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called sarcoma. It’s a word I had barely heard before, and suddenly it became part of my everyday life. What makes it even more difficult is that sarcoma is rare — and because of that, there is still so much we don’t know about it and Research is limited

That is why I decided to take part in Trap tegen Kanker.

This spinning event is more than just cycling. For me, it is a way to turn something heavy into something powerful. Every pedal I push is for hope. Hope for better treatments. Hope for more research. Hope for others who are going through the same journey as me.

Living with sarcoma has taught me how precious health is, but also how strong we can be — even on the hardest days. By joining this event, I want to raise awareness about rare cancers and remind people that even the less common diseases deserve attention, funding, and care.

I am not just cycling for myself.

I am cycling for everyone affected by cancer.

And especially for those fighting rare cancers like sarcoma.
